How to set up holidays within TM2/TM3

Please Note: This article relates to both the TM2 and TM3 versions of the desktop software.

TM2 allows you to set up holidays within the clinic such as bank holidays.

To add a Holiday to TM2 go to

Tools > TM2 Options > Dates & Holidays

Once within the Holiday Dates form, click on the Date drop-down menu.  This will open a calendar. Choose the date you would like to set as a holiday and press Add.

Holidays will appear within the white box on the screen.

When a holiday has been set; the diary page for that day will add a holiday note to all time slots for that day.

If you try to book an appointment into a slot within the diary that shows Holiday, you will be prompted with a message before confirming the appointment stating This event is being placed on a date that has been marked as a day off for the practice and you will be asked if you wish to continue.

If you wish to book the appointment into a slot that shows holiday, press Yes.

And then the appointment will be added in as normal.
