How to create a task in "My Work"

Please Note: This article relates to both the TM2 and TM3 versions of the desktop software.

Tasks can be created within the My Work tab by clicking on the New Task button as shown in the screenshot below.

Once you click on the New Task button, a Task Info window will appear.  From here, you are able to set the details of the task. 

Task Name

This allows you to enter a name or a description of the task. 

Due Date

This allows you to set a due date that the task must be completed by. 

Task For

This allows you to set who the task is assigned for.  The drop-down menu will allow you to select from a list of the different usernames that are in use from within your TM2 system. 

Priority

This will allow you to set the priority of the task.  You can choose from between either Low or High Priority. 

Recurring Task

This will allow you to set recurrence options for the task. You can set from either Every Day, Every Week, Every Month or Every Year. You can also set the date that these recurrence options will run unto by using the date drop down.

Reminder

You can check this box in order to set a reminder within TM2.  TM2 will alert you when your task is due. 

Patient

This allows you to assign a patient against the task.  This can be used to create a reminder that relates to a specific contact or patient. 

Once you are happy with the information that has been entered, you can click on the  Create button and the task will be created within TM2. 

You will then be able to view the task within the task list in TM2.
